Love the Park – help plant the flowers
The Flower Garden in Thornes Park will be getting ready to put on the annual beautiful show next week. Council staff will be planting out the plants starting on Monday (2nd June) and any help we can give will be greatly appreciated. With luck the work will be finished in the week. Work will go on from about 8.00am to 4.00pm, but if you can come along and put in any time that will be good.
Will Poppleton from the Council will be in charge. Steve Brear, who has managed the project for the last many years, has now retired from the Council, but we think he will be there to help and advise.
Just a little of your time can help make all the difference!
