Volunteer with the Friends!
We hold Weeding and Working Parties on Wednesday afternoon, in the Secret Garden and in other areas in the parks, including the Rose Garden and the Flower Garden.
There are regular litter picks around the parks.
Our car boot sales on Sunday mornings require stewards to help mark out the pitches and guide sellers and buyers. We have four a year and details of the dates are posted on our Facebook page and on this website.
We also have a presence at other events and always welcome volunteers to help us out.
Leafleting and handing out promotional material is a task we need help with occasionally. This is mostly when there is a campaign we are focusing on.
Not only can you volunteer to help our group, but we can also offer the opportunity for your organisation – perhaps your work place or club – to volunteer in the parks. We have so far assisted the local Police force, the Sea Cadets and others to do so.
